While in the Army we were asked many times to use the horizontal ladder. On the way to eat our daily meals specifically. It was not lost on me at the time that no matter how many rungs I manipulated I was always on the same level.
That is how I see the news of today. No matter how much I keep up. No matter how much I think about it. No matter how many expert opinions I hear. No matter how hard I try to understand it I am just another observer with an opinion and no effect.
