if a typewriter has 50 keys
and the word to be typed is banana (seems like a good word for a monkey)
and the keys are pressed randomly and independently
each key has an equal chance of being pressed
the chance that the first letter typed is a 'b' is 1/50
the chance that the second letter typed is an 'a' is also 1/50 and so on
therefore, the chance of the first six letters spelling banana is
    (1/50) × (1/50) × (1/50) × (1/50) × (1/50) × (1/50) = 1/15,625,000,000
less than one in 15 billion but not zero
so it is a possible outcome
    however
    it's a thought experiment
and it proves nothing because proving is not it's purpose

    another possible outcome:
    monkey tires

    BB
I think monkey tires would make for a very bumpy ride

    monkey wrench back
