POETRY

Poetry. Writing that formulates a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience in language chosen and arranged to create a specific emotional response through meaning sound and rhythm.
Although poetic form is more flexible in modern and post-modern poetry it generally remains distinguished from prose by its form. Except  in the case of prose poetry that shows attributes of both prose and poetry. This line becomes blurred by some writers who think that the difference between prose and poetry is only in the way it is displayed on the page. My favorite blur of the line is when every word of prose is written so well that you are overwhelmed with the feeling that you are reading poetry.
Words and the way they are used most often do not make poetry.
When poetry is achieved it is difficult to deny.
