into the field
of my vision
quickly turning
to a friend
with your excited
conversation
and the most
amused look
I had ever seen
on any face
at times I wonder
how your friend
could have said
what ever changed you
so suddenly
from the reflection
of sunshine
and flowers
to a dull imitation
of gray skies
