In the late 80's (you know last century) I went to a Dylan concert. He was so messed up he was weaving about and didn't even look like he wanted to be there. I was clean and sober. I was actually disappointed until I realized that the last time I saw him I was the one who was all messed up and he was straight.
So I wrote about it.
Being this ghost
of a former self
your notorious stare
is no longer
penetrating
and your
well known words
are running together
in some directions
you did not
speak them
even so
there are
all of these friends
and they are glad
